Through fascinating objects, unique Textile related machinery and wonderful images learn how the town developed from Saxon times to the present day and discover how the woollen cloth trade came to shape the town and the surrounding area.

Changing exhibitions throughout the year explore history, art and more.

The Museum is closed to visitors until summer 2020 whilst we expand and renovate the gallery space but our services still continue.
